Carill Driving School is owned and run by Caroline Rabson, an experienced and friendly qualified driving instructor. Carill Drving School is well established in Hedge End near Southampton but also covers the surrounding areas of Western and Central Southampton. Winchester and Lee on Solent are also covered.

Driving Lessons

Our courses are designed to provide you with all the skills required to pass your test and to help you to be a responsible and safe driver. We will help you understand the workings of your vehicle, safe driving skills, putting the highway code into practice and building your confidence in today’s demanding traffic conditions.

Whatever your ability Carill Driving aims to coach you in a way you enjoy learning. Your personal best learning method is discovered, be it visual, auditory or just feeling exploring your way. Absolute beginners gently coached to feel confident. Those with some experience are brought up to the required safety standards so they have the confidence to expand their skills.

Carill Driving has the expertise to improve drivers’ skills post test either by gaining a Pass Plus Certificate or by motorway instruction. Caroline is a successful graduate of the Institute of Advanced Motorists and really enjoys driving and seeing her pupils progress.

A special introductory or assessment lesson is offered to help pupils analyse their abilities and needs with Caroline’s help. This is two hours and half price. It is open to anyone from beginner to those who hold a full driving licence. Motor cycle riders wishing to convert their bike Licence to car Licence are most welcome.

Lessons are provided the way and length you want. Carill offers intensive courses for beginners of 40-45 hours over 2 weeks for people who need to be able to drive very quickly.

Our aim is to provide relaxed, quality driving tuition tailored to your individual needs. We also aim to focus on helping you pass your test first time and provide you with advice, assistance and extra instruction where needed.

Carill uses a 2016 Ford Fiesta for all lessons.
